This "END Program" box started showing up on my computer  about a week ago when I press the shutdown button.  
 
Avast antivirus does not detect any problem.
 
Spybot also ...no problem...
 
Your Mischel internet Security also finds nothing.
 
What is this thing?  Is it a problem in lthe making?

This typically means that a specific program running in memory cannot shut itself down.  Is it the same program each time you attempt to shut down your computer?  What is the name(s) of the program that "END" is stating needs to be shut down.

DIEmWin is the namp of the program, but search does not bring up anything.
 
The Google search shows a lot of people with it, but no cures.
 
I have done a bunch of anti virus scans plus spy bot & trojan hunter & reg cleaner & nvidia  ati driver cleaners.  they haven't said anything about finding it, but I have not noticed it coming up for the past few days.
 
perhaps it is a sleeper..  or perhaps one of them got it... I hope!
