Many good registry cleaners are available. Two popular choices are CCleaner (a freeware updated version 2.0 is currently in beta), and jv16 Power Tools, which offers several registry cleaning and optimizing options. I have also used Registry Mechanic, a popular registry cleaning tool offered by PC Tools. If you choose CCleaner, the developer advises that users ought to wait until the final version is released before installing the software.

I definitely install and play with random things on my machine on a regular basis but I downloaded this software called registrycleanfix and really helped me to clean my pc; here it's the link http://www.spamlinkremoved.com it might be very useful if your pc or windows start crashing!

There is something very, very fishy about RegistryCleanFix.  I downloaded the Trial version and ran the registry scanner.  It states that there are 703 items in the registry that need to be cleaned.  
 
HOWEVER,
 
1.  It requires purchasing a license to clean them.
2.  NOT one of the registry keys that it is finding actually EXIST in my registry....NOT one of them.  
3.  Also, after running 3 other highly efficient registry cleaners, RegistryCleanFix stills finds 703 items to clean...the very same 703 items.  Coincidence...nahhh... Angry
 
I removed the Trial version of RegistryCleanFix.  Shocked

I've used several of versions of WinASO Registry Optimizer for a number years now.  Never had a problem whatsoever with this excellent utility!  The trial version will only correct 10 errors at a time, but it is well worth checking out. The application also has a number of very useful "add-ons," including a privacy eraser, system optimizer, etc.
