Calling all malware hunters , the birth of MIRT .

Castlecops is starting a new antimalware initiative called MIRT (Malware Incident Reporting and Termination) . It is similar to the already successful PIRT (Phishing Incident Reporting and Termination) project . The goal of MIRT will be to collect malware samples , test them against antimalware applications and then distribute them to the vendors that missed them . There will also be a parallel organized effort to take the offending sites and/or pages down , while reporting them in detail to the authorities.
We also need your help in spreading the word . Tell all of your friends and (with forum admin permission) re-post this announcement around the web . With your help we can make life hard for those who write malware and take another piece of our internet back .
