I think people will be able to respond to your question soon because it is my understanding that IE 7 should be released within the next couple of weeks in "gold" form.  
 
From what I've read and also experienced/seen using IC 7 betas and release candidates, I feel users will be pleased with the improvements in security, layout, and useability.

There's nothing to keep you from using both browsers.  On my PC, I have those two and also SeaMonkey and Opera.  Smiley
