Nice article - though buried in there was - "Even the terrible figures from InfoSec couldn’t spoil the overall figures for London, with just over 50% of networks using WEP/WPA. This means that London wins our unofficial prize for the best protected WiFi networks, moving ahead of Moscow and Peking and creating a new benchmark for encryption standards." So, London's the best of a bad bunch - I mean, only 50% protected? Shows that the idea of an average user being expert enough to handle setting up of a WiFi network (majority default to 'Open' access with no security) is a completely false one - manufacturers need to supply kit already set for max encryption, with a key disk perhaps, or at least a default setup procedure that doesn't activate the wireless router fully until security has been set up on it. Then let the real experts, running their company networks and so on, worry about learning to make the kit work on their systems - reverse the situation, so to speak!
