As siliconman suggests, everybody continually debates and discusses this issue {which AV is best}, usually people pretty much answer "MINE is the best". But I was going to suggest, IF your OEM copy of Norton runs well on your box, and IF the subscription renewal cost isn't too much {hopefully they give you a good deal for OEM subscription renewal}, then honestly IMHO, Norton is plenty good protection. Norton is often maligned I think because it is become popular to attack the "Big Boy" of market share; people seem to always go after the Big Corp, e.g. Microsoft is target of much criticism {justified, warranted or not}; heh. My point being, you have to be careful and ferret through someone's argument: is he/she giving rational reasons {e.g. respected studies, tests, & AV-Comparatives, etc.} or is the person just mouthing off prejudice and hate; these type of discussions often become emotional and irrational.
