Confused....Need help

Hi,

I have an issue that I have been searching high and low to answer.

While surfing the web (using IE6), my browser history shows me visiting a site I did not visit. The site is an ftp site, namely ftp.std.com and it always goes to the same 3 folders. Ive checked the site out and it seems to be a free file hosting service. Ive done virus checks, trojan checks, run adaware, deleted cookies but it seems to be written into the registry somehow. And I cant seem to find anyone who has the same problem.

Any help would be grreatly appreciated.
Thanks

The non-visited website could of had an image linked to a website you did visit.  When you downloaded that image when you went to the website you visited, it would show it coming from the non-visited website.

Thanks for the reply.
I did think it may have been that, or an include page or even an ad. However one of the things I tried to do was to delete it from the history and go back to all the other pages I visited and it didn't show up again until the next day.

I'm guessing now it must be most likely a cookie issue.
