A new 'problem'(?)

Hi folks,

I feel a bit cheeky only stopping by here when I am in need of aid; please bear with me!

I use Microsoft Outlook and when I click send/receive, the number of 'tasks' varies from time to time.

For instance, I have 3 seperate accounts on there, and the program normally carries out 6 'tasks' (ie. account 1 send, account 1 receive = 2 tasks, and so on) but every so often the program will run 11 tasks.

In my usual suspicious nature I have become concerned that somehow this program is doubling up on sending and/or receiving email.

If anyone knows what I am on about or has any further information I would be most grateful.

Thanking you for your time,

Carp.

I have 2 accounts in my MS Outlook 2003.  On a send/receive, 4 tasks occur...1 send/1 receive per account.

However, I too have seen the number of tasks vary.  I don't know what the exact sequence is to make this occur, so I can't get it to do more than 4 tasks right now.   Cheesy

I suspect it is synchronizing something or purging when it "elects" to do more tasks.   Wink

Cheers Siliconman; helpful as always. I always suspect the worst and thought my mail was being forwarded on or something like that. It's reassuring that this problem isn't limited to me.

Thanks again.
