I use TH as my primary trojan scanner but its always good to use another alternative as a backup. Does anybody know a good online trojan scanner thats up-to-date?

Thanks

 Hello  ,  Jrshaw62

I  think  that  Kaspersky Labs'  free on-line scanner  would  be *the*  option  to  double-check  any  suspicious  result .

I agree. AFAIK there are no dedicated anti-trojan scanners available online, unlike AVs, and Kaspersky has long had the reputation for finding more Trojans than any other AV.

I see that Kapersky dosent have the option to scan your computer..it only can scan a file at a time. I googled trojan scan and it found this:

http://www.windowsecurity.com/trojanscan/

Have anybody used it? Does it look like its any good?

Never used that one. However, regarding Kaspersky: if you mean it doesn't have a resident memory scanner, that doesn't stop it from being a decent alternative. Having more than one AT program trying to deal with a file that they both find can lead to conflict - for example, most users would run a full AV of their choice and another as an 'on-demand' version only to give a second opinion. All those on-line versions are basically 'on-demand' scanners, so it's pretty much the same thing.

Sorry..I meant Kapersky online scanner can not scan all the files on my computer(like a regular scanner)...it said "Only one file of up to 1 MB can be checked at any one time".

Oh, right Wink

Most of the big name AV vendors have an online scanner - try looking up McAfee and Panda - but they've got a lower ability to detect Trojans than something like TH or a paid-up, installed version of Kaspersky.
