Yeah - the source of the 'Post Reply' page is quite revealing - including things like all the icon/button URLs and the permitted list of text colours:-

Yikes! You really need to post that again (Grin) just to get it all on the grey background - beige was particularly insipid against white!! Only now you'll have to post another in between, 'cos I've just nicked the grey background!
 
And where's 'tope' and 'camel' when we need them?? I remember 'African Violet' and 'Turquoise' being popular thirty years ago, so yet again a colour palette denies us a reminder of other times gone by. Thank God.

Yes, those colours were gorgeous - aren't you glad then 70s colours are making a comeback?

Well, it certainly makes a welcome change from all those 'soft-white' shades (Apple White = very, very pale green and so on). Or magnolia everywhere, including the ceilings and skirting boards (like one flat we used to rent). Ugh!
 
At least the 70's stuff was open about it's ability to give you a migrane. The 80's colours kind of snuck up and mugged your eyes. Except the one sweater I had that looked like late-night TV, before they transmitted programs 24-7. Not only did it look like static (in black and white) but it also had - - - a roll-neck Shocked Shocked Shocked. Never had a mullet, though.
 
The 70's are starting to look cool again!
