Can't get Sysgate to run

Thought I'd try out Sysgate today instead of Zone Alarm which I have been using, Disabled ZA start up with windows then installed Sysgate 4, rebooted system to restart windows and initialise sysgate but no luck it wasn't going to play. Everytime I tried to start the prog it failed to initialise saying there was no NIC installed (debug.log) which is a bit odd cause I've just used the NIC to download the software in the first place plus everything else is working fine.
I can't even get ti the options to try and reconfigure sysgate if needed all that happens is the systray icon appears briefly then dissappears again, I've also had the register screen come up for about 3-4 seconds but not long enough to do anything with it.
Any ideas Huh  Huh
I've gone back to ZA for the moment, below is the report from the debug.log

Wow! It certainly looks like the NIC is the issue. However, I've never had this problem with Sygate 5 - maybe you could check for the updated version? I used it with a USB ADSL adapter, so technically there's no NIC either, though the adapter emulates one and requests a MAC address from the ISP on each reboot (AFAIK after reading some of the blurb on the Alcatel site). I also run both ZAF and Sypate PF alongside each other without any problems - ZA gets first shout, Sygate catches anything that ZA doesn't think is important (like browser solicitation calls from various system files).
 
I reckon it's a dodgy installation fileset. Grab the newer version (even the free Sygate PF is beyond v5 now) and se how that goes.
