Hey,
It stopped doing that but perhaps I didn't word my question properly in the first place though. Maybe this makes more sense. Why would my browser be trying to make a connection with another site while looking at posts on TH Forum? I didn't click on any links.

DC

in my profile (and on my posts) as an avatar i use a .jpg from expectingrain, so no doubt that would be the connection.

i could have uploaded the pic but that option doesn't exist.

so i think what you must be seeing is your browser grabbing that pic.

by any chance are you on dial up?

Hey,
Thanks for getting back to me mr. mark. Been staring at my logs so long trying to figure out what happened I'm going cross eyed. I'm on cable so connections usually happen fast enough that I don't see extra connections, redirections?, or whatever they're called. It was hanging on that connection that's why I probably noticed it. Log say's 0 bytes sent and recieved though. A few other inconsistencies as well that I noticed in log file during my connection. Thanks for the explanation, I know I'll be double checking for irregularities henceforth.
