I tried 3, picked TH because of most of the reasons listed above. At that time, TH had one major advantage on my system - it ran and completed a scan. Got to be a plus point with any software! The other two I tried were TDS-3 and BOClean - both big names in this field, with plenty of loyal users and good backup. Of those two, TDS wouldn't get beyond 2% of the files (don't know why, but it stopped at 770 files exactly, each attempt, but wouldn't list what that file was so I couldn't work around it to see if the file was corrupt). Others I've read object to some of TDS's use of user information, but c'est la vie and I can't pass comment since I have no experience of it. The other program, BOClean, wouldn't successfully install. Now, I'm sure that was a glitch with my (otherwise okay) system, since plenty of users have it. Kevin McAleavey (BOClean) is an approachable guy, quick to reply and so on, with lots of experience dealing with Trojans. That would be my second choice if TH hadn't been quick, unobtrusive, well-supported, nicely priced and accurate (I've only come across one false-positive with TH, whereas my AV at that time - McAfee - gave several). I believe I would have still picked TH if BOClean did manage to install. One thing to bear in mind - TH so far is a 'growing' product, still gathering features and so on (whereas the other two I've mentioned are more established). I suspect that it will be top of the heap within a year, though I don't expect any of the others to be resting on their laurels waiting for that day to come!
