Hello , Here is the resume of the last Virus Bulletin AVs Comparative Test (June /2002) : http://toronto.virusbtn.com/vb100/archives/tests.xml?200206 Obs : " SR " ( success ratio ) is the number of passes versus the number of fails in those last four years of tests , ok ? NOD32 - SR 85.71% SYMANTEC - SR 73.91% NORMAN - SR 68% INOCULATE IT - SR 60% SOPHOS - SR 60% KASPERSKY - SR 56% FRISK - SR 54.55% VET - SR 52% DR WEB - SR 42.86% F-SECURE - SR 42.11% COMMAND - SR 34.78% McAfee Viruscan - SR 33.33% NAI Viruscan - SR 33.33% PANDA Platinum - SR 25% ALWIL - SR 20% VIRUS BUSTER - SR 20% GeCAD - SR 15% TRENDMICRO - SR 10.53% GRISOFT AVG - SR 5.56% G DATA - SR 0% ( 7 tests done only ) HAURI - SR 0% ( 4 tests done ) SOFTWIN - SR 0% ( 4 tests done ) CAT QUICKHEAL - SR 0% ( 1 test done) LEPRENCHAUN VB II - SR 0% ( 1 test done ) The SR of the 24 AVs tested in four years by Virus Bulletin is : SR 33.03 % Of course I did not have access to test details and I have not done statistical ponderations to be fair with AVs with an inferior number of tests done . Why I have all this work ? Well I was bored and have to be near the computer all day today ,and also because Virus Bulletin is not an anonymous source . Regards , mozar
