SamSpde has been a permanent fixture on my desktop for over three years now, and, of course, if one only uses the download version, one doesn't get the cool SamSpade icon.  Grin
 
SamSpade is a true classic, IMO. Simple, elegant, effective.

  Yes  ,  maxqnz , an  app  with  humour  and style .
    And  it  works  indeed . For example , if  you  want    a  Whois ,  it  offers  you  around  twenty  Whois different servers to choose .

But I always seem to need to type in the LACNIC whois...
 
Still, it is knida nice to throw loads of time-checks and pings at an 'offender', then grab a new connection(and therefore a different IP).
 
I combine it with Steve's ID-Serve tool - http://grc.com/id/idserve.htm - especially if any of the traffice comes from server-type ports.
