Vista SP1/SP2 Disk CleanUp Tool
« on: Jul 13th, 2008, 3:29am »

This procedure is used to clean up your hard drive after upgrading to Service Pack 1 and Service Pack 2 on Vista.  It permanently removes the backed up files replaced or removed during the installion of the Vista SP1/SP2 to gain more hard drive space

Warning:  Once this cleanup tool is executed, you will no longer have the ability to uninstall Service Pack 1 or Service Pack 2.  The tool makes SP1/SP2 permanent on your computer.

To run the Vista SP1 Disk Cleanup Tool, follow the procedure in the link below.  You should regain ~ 1 gigabyte of disk space.

FYI:  This cleans/clears approximately 4000 files from a Vista SP1 Business system, freeing up 900 megabytes of disk space.

To run the Vista SP2 Disk Cleanup Tool, follow the procedure in the link below.  You should regain ~ 1 gigabyte of disk space.
