Web Sites offering Antivirus, Spyware Remote Scans

It may prove necessary to perform a remote scan of a user's system if there is evidence that the user's security has been compromised or to cross check a suspected malicious file. The following web sites are available to perform a remote scan (not all inclusive). Some of these sites require an ActiveX download prior to initiating the scan. Therefore you should permit their ActiveX to download and install. Be SURE to disable your resident anti-virus program before running a remote scan. This will negate scanner conflicts between AV scanner engines. Jotti (single file scan only) http://virusscan.jotti.org/ VirusTotal (single file scan only) http://www.virustotal.com/en/indexf.html Dr. Web (single file scan only) http://old.antivir.ru/english/www_av/ Bitdefender http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html F-Secure Online Scanner http://support.f-secure.com/enu/home/ols.shtml Kaspersky Labs http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner Panda Software http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/activescan.htm Trend Micro http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ Symantec- Norton http://security.symantec.com/sscv6/home.asp?langid=ie&venid=sym& plfid=23&pkj=MIWKVCOBSOCUEWUXLQO Dr. Web CureIt http://www.freedrweb.com/cureit/ CureIt module is downloaded from the above URL and then must be executed by the user. SuperAntiSpyware http://www.superantispyware.com/onlinescan.html Note: Mischel Internet Security is not accountable for the scan results, corrective actions recommended or implemented, or any other results from the above vendors or web sites. The above web site links are provided herein for user reference convenience only. Should a question arise concerning the results of a remote scan by the above companies, it is appropriate to contact the specific company's technical support for resolution. Applies to all versions of TrojanHunter.
