How to Force LiveUpdate to Re-Update
« on: Jan 28th, 2006, 2:03am »

IF, for some reason, there is a need to force LiveUpdate to re-update the rulesets/definitions, the following procedure will permit updates to be downloaded again.

1.  Unload TrojanHunter Guard from memory.

2.  Open Windows Explorer.

3.  Navigate to the RuleFiles folder at C:\Program Files\TrojanHunter 5.x\RuleFiles and open folder RuleFiles.

4.  Delete the file named UpdateList.txt.

5.  Close Windows Explorer.

6.  Run TrojanHunter LiveUpdate.

7.  Restart TrojanHunter Guard.

NOTE:

This is sometimes useful during the initial installation/setup of TrojanHunter to confirm that LiveUpdate is working correctly via TrojanHunter Scanner and the TrojanHunter Guard right click LiveUpdate feature.

Applies to TrojanHunter V5.0 or later.
