plz help a noob out

ok ive had some bad spyware problems lately and i have cleaned most of it out but there is one thing that i cant get rid of and autostart explorer lists its under Startup Folders/User and i was wondering if i just delete that file should it stop it from loading or is there some other approach i should take? thx in advance for any replies attempting to help me out

You could just delete the file and also go to Start Menu->Programs->Startup and delete the shortcut.
