Normal folder or not ?

Under Registry/HKCU Load, is a yellow folder with no name.
If I try to open this a grey box appears to the right of it but still with no name.
If I right click the folder a box appears with the word "properties" but I cant click this.
The lower "Description" frame says "No description available."

any help welcomed, please.

I too have the exact same entry. As of yet I have been unable to determine what it corresponds to.

Check it with a good registry checker, as that sounds like some kind of data corruption to me ..  Wink  .. but I don't know for sure, obviously .. not able to reproduce the phenomenon. Wink

Hi,
I realize your post is dated almost a year ago, but I have the same problem and wondered if you might have found any info re: the odd folder?

Thanks.

Huh Can it really be nearly three years since my original post on this? I too still have that folder showing up in Autostart Explorer as detailed in the original post. I dont think I've ever had any problems associated with it.  Smiley

I have also found that strange folder in autostart at HKCU\LOAD.
I wonder where can I found this "HKCU\LOAD" in regedit?,
and this strange folder also shows up in "This computer" folder.

PLEASE Help! What is this.

In Regedit, it is at

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\Load

On most systems the Load folder default is "Value not set", so there are no properties for it display.

Thanx

but when I typed "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\Load" in regedit.
I didn't found \Windows NT\ folder.

Is it because I use Win98 or is it just hide somewere?

I'm sorry but I do not have a Win98 system that I can use to try to locate this particular folder in the registry.  You might try doing a Find in regedit using Load as the word to find...search for all keys, values, data.  It should show up as a folder named "Load" if it exists on Win98.
