Once you have completed your Windows 7 installation, you should create a system repair CD or DVD. This will permit you to boot from the CD/DVD and repair your Win 7 installation if it becomes damaged. This repair disk may become your lifeline should one of your security programs remove a critical system file because of a False Positive within the security program or if a critical system file becomes infected and is removed. The repair disk should be re-created following Microsoft hotfix Tuesday and after any significant Windows 7 upgrade such as a new service pack installation. ALWAYS BE SURE that your system is clear of malicious infections prior to re-creating the system repair disk. The link below shows you how to create a System Repair disk. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/2083-system-repair-disc-create.html ?filter[2]=Performance Maintenance
