If you carry Adobe Acrobat Reader on your system for the occasional reading of PDF files and do not use all the AAR features, then you have an excellent alternative. The alternative is freebie FoxItReader at http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/rd_intro.php - You save ~ 145 mbytes of disk storage. - You eliminate hundreds of registry keys. - You typically get faster response when opening PDF files. - Security exploits are reduced. Personally, I ripped out Adobe about a year ago and have found FoxItReader to meet all my needs for PDF files.
