That is surprising, thanks for letting us know.  I rather regard these tests as casting pebbles on the ocean.  The pebbles are the samples picked for the test, the ocean is the actual body of all possible malware.  There is just soooo much malware that could be tested, I wonder if it is possible to construct a fair test that represents ALL malware {a testbed that covers the "ocean"}.  Different products excel at different things, too -- for example if you picked only runtime packed malware, Kaspersky would win because for longtime KAV has the unquestionably superior unpack engine.  I just take all these "tests" with a grain of salt.  But they are interesting -- I'm glad Symantec did well in this test. Wink

Symantec scored the best on a recent anti-spyware comparison test as well.  I just cannot put my fingers on the recent test results that "claimed" this...on one of the other forums.  
 
"Grain of salt" here too...just too much non-standardization, etc., to state results as gospel.
