Weird Proxomitron nonsense

Okay, this normally steady program suddenly started to block all sorts of sites with the 404 error page (as if half the net had shut off for the night) - including this forum, until I Googled for it and went in via that route.

All's well on restarting the PC (I think - nothing's been stopped so far). Anyone else had this experience with Proxomitron?

I have had that problem once, maybe twice.  Just shut it down and restarting it, works fine.  If you  have specific questions about Proxomitron check out the forums for it at:

It repeated a bit of strange behaviour, (black screened a few sites), so I copied a backup of the entire folder, then restarted. I've had this before, but a reinstall seemed to cure.

Thanks for the link.

Well that sight has three forums on individual rules and also a general questions forum for Proxomitron.  The Author of the software posts there and monitors it so you can get answers pretty quick.  You can even get help writing your own filters.  I had what your describing happen once in the many months I have been using Proxomitron.  Like you, a reinstall solved it.  All in all, it is very stable and its free and you still can ask the author questions, so its very cool. Cool
